Our Story
Cute looks good on everything.
MiniKin is a home décor and lifestyle brand that gives everyday objects a little personality. We design useful things, beginning with planters, in cute character forms, so the pieces you live with feel like quiet company.
How MiniKin began
MiniKin was started by Prashant Dhakad in September 2026. He noticed that homes had become very minimal and very alike, and that the playful, characterful objects many of us grew up with in the 80s and 90s had quietly disappeared. He believed people still want things that are useful and decorative at once, and that say a little about who they are.
So the idea was kept simple: make useful home décor and daily-use objects in a cute form, each with a character and personality of its own.
What we make
- Personality Planters: character planter pots for your own indoor plants. Each pot is about 6 inches tall, with a drainage hole and a removable plant bucket. Plants are not included.
- Festival Collection: little personalities for your celebrations.
- Desk & Bedside: characterful organisers and cosy little lights. Coming soon.
- Everyday Companions: bottle sets with a character carrier and a carrying strap. Coming soon.
How a MiniKin is made
Every MiniKin is designed in Gurugram and manufactured in Indore, India. Each piece is 3D printed in PETG. The colours are printed into the piece, not painted by hand, and the fine layer lines you can see are a natural part of 3D printing. PETG is a material that can be recycled.
